چکیده

Ethiopia is one of the centers genetic diversity sesame (Sesamum indicum L.). The resources present in country should be explored for local, regional, and international improvement programs to design high-performing market-preferred varieties. This study’s objective was determine extent variation among 100 diverse cultivated germplasm collections using phenotypic traits simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers select distinct complementary genotypes breeding. One hundred entries were field evaluated at two locations agro-morphological seed oil content a 10 × lattice with replications. Test profiled 27 polymorphic SSR Oil Crops Research Institute Chinese Academy Agricultural Sciences. Analysis variance revealed significant (p ≤ 0.05) entry by environment interaction plant height, internode length, number secondary branches, grain yield. Genotypes such as Hirhir Kebabo Hairless-9, Setit-3, Orofalc ACC-2, Humera Sel-6, ABX = 2-01-2, Setit-1 recorded yield >0.73 ton ha−1 excellent performance component per hectare. Grain had positive < 0.01) associations (r 0.99), useful simultaneous selection sesame. gene information values 0.30 0.25, respectively, showing that tested accessions genetically diverse. Cluster analysis resolved into groups, while population structure four major heterotic thus enabling subsequent crossing develop breeding populations cultivar development. Based on genomic divergence, following superior genotypes: Hairless Sel-4, Nigara 1st Sel-1, Humera-1 Early Sel-1 (from cluster II-a), kebabo hairless-9, NN-0029(2), NN0068-2 Bawnji Fiyel Kolet, II-b). selected will serve parents local program Ethiopia.

Genetic Diversity of Sesame (sesamum Indicum L.) Germplasm from Pakistan Using Rapd Markers

Genetic diversity among 20 sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) accessions was examined at DNA level by means of random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) analysis. Ten primers used produced a total of 93 RAPD fragments, of which 70 (75%) were polymorphic. Each primer generated 5 to 17 amplified fragments with an average of 9.3 bands per primer. Based on pair-wise comparisons of RAPD amplification product...

Genetic Diversity of pear (Pyrus spp) Germplasm Assessed by Simple Sequence Repeat (SSR) and Morphological Traits

This study was conducted to identify and recognize relations and diversity among accessions of the Iranianpears (Pyrus spp). A total of 34 pear accessions, derived presumably from at least six species, were subjected to simple sequence repeat (SSR) analysis. The Japanese and the Chinese pear samples were; “Housui” and “Yali” cultivars, example of Pyrus pyrifolia and P. bretschneideri, respectiv...

Genetic Divergence in Sesame (sesamum Indicum L.) Landraces Based on Qualitative and Quantitative Traits

Sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) is one of the world’s oldest oil crops and has been cultivated in Asia since ancient times. The breeding potential of the germplasm accessions held in PGRP gene-bank has hardly been exploited to date. This study was carried out to evaluate the phenotypic variability in the local sesame genotypes using 16 qualitative and quantitative traits. A total of 105 sesame acce...

Development of simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers of sesame (Sesamum indicum) from a genome survey.

Sesame (Sesamum indicum), an important oil crop, is widely grown in tropical and subtropical regions. It provides part of the daily edible oil allowance for almost half of the world's population. A limited number of co-dominant markers has been developed and applied in sesame genetic diversity and germplasm identity studies. Here we report for the first time a whole genome survey used to develo...

Floral Biology and pollination requirements of sesame (Sesamum indicum L.)

This study aimed to investigate the floral biology and pollination requirements of sesame (Sesamum indicum L.), cultivar CNPA G2. The study was carried out at Barbalha, State of Ceará, and consisted of two phases: floral biology and pollination requirements. Flowers were observed as for time of anthesis, lifespan and stigma receptivity, and were applied the following pollination treatments: ope...
